Installation and commissioning of Europe's largest GIS system
As a flagship infrastructure project, UW Eichstetten represents the largest Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS) system in Europe. ACS provided a complete turn-key solution for the electro-mechanical installation, spanning both primary and secondary parts, including Control & Protection (C&P) scope. The project featured an extensive triple busbar system across two GIS halls and the installation of over 320km of cabling.

Turnkey engineering and manufacturing for Frankfurt’s digital infrastructure
ACS delivered comprehensive secondary engineering and manufacturing services to support a critical data center power supply in Frankfurt. This project involved the full supply of C&P cubicles, AC/DC distribution boards, and the electro-mechanical installation for both GIS and AIS systems. Our team managed the project from initial design through to installation and commissioning.

Advanced E&IC scope for large-scale seawater heating systems
Supporting the decarbonization of district heating, ACS provided full Engineering, Manufacturing, and Installation services for four seawater heat pump units (HPU). Our scope included 3D modeling, installation design, and the manufacturing of 7 kA Low Voltage (LV) distribution systems and 550kW frequency changers. The project ensures a total generation capacity of 177 MW of heat for the Aalborg region.

Management and technical support for high-capacity craft paper production
ACS served as the technical backbone for the execution and installation of the new PM10 paper machine and its auxiliary systems. We provided a comprehensive suite of services including project and site management, installation supervision, and commissioning. Additionally, ACS manufactured specialized power distribution switchboards to integrate a storage robotics system into the plant.

PLC and SCADA programming for high-output automotive hardening lines
ACS took complete responsibility for the automation and control systems of a new hardening line for VOLVO steel brake discs. We developed the HMI interfaces, SCADA systems, and PLC programming required to manage a three-zone tunnel furnace with robotic loading/unloading. The resulting production line achieves high-quality hardening for over 3,500 pieces every four hours.
